Free Eye Check-Up Camp: Vision for All
Purushottam High School successfully organized a comprehensive eye screening camp titled “Vision for All” for students of Standards VI to X. This commendable healthcare initiative was conducted in collaboration with the Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust, the OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation and the Rotary Club of Bombay Metropolitan.
The initiative was supported by the visionary leadership of Rotary International President (2026–27), Rtn. Olayinka Hakeem Babalola; District Governor, Rtn. Rajan Dua; Club President, Rtn. Nayna Desai; and Club Secretary, Rtn. Heena Mehta.
The primary objective of the camp was to identify refractive errors, visual impairments and other eye-related concerns at an early stage. By facilitating timely eye screening, the initiative aimed to ensure that every student has access to better vision and that undetected vision problems do not become obstacles to learning, classroom participation or academic progress. The camp highlighted the importance of regular eye check-ups in safeguarding children’s vision and promoting their overall well-being.
Purushottam High School expresses its heartfelt gratitude to Director Mrs. Prema Kotian and Dr. Lata Sagar Madam for bringing this valuable healthcare initiative to the school campus. Their efforts reflect a strong commitment to the health, welfare and holistic development of students.
Special appreciation is extended to Principal Mrs. Vandana Kamble and Vice Principal Mrs. Bharti Gadge for their dedicated support, efficient coordination and seamless organization of the camp. Their contribution helped ensure the smooth conduct of this meaningful initiative.
The “Vision for All” eye screening camp was a significant step towards creating greater awareness about eye health and reaffirming the school’s commitment to nurturing healthy, confident and academically empowered learners. The initiative reinforced the belief that clear vision is not just essential for good eyesight but also plays a vital role in a child’s learning journey and future success.
